Photography Requirements
Experience:
- Must have prior experience shooting at least two weddings.
Camera Settings:
- Manual mode is preferred, or Aperture Priority (AV) mode with a proper understanding of ISO and exposure settings.
- Never use AUTO mode.
Exposure & Lighting:
- Avoid overexposed or underexposed images. Keep your histogram values centered.
- Maintain a minimum shutter speed of 1/160.
- Always bring speedlights/flash/alternative lighting – do not rely on increasing ISO to compensate for low light.
- Use soft lighting and avoid harsh, directly oriented flash. A diffuser is required.
- Indoors, always use flash in low-light conditions where natural light is insufficient.
Image Composition:
- Ensure a straight horizon in all shots.
- Capture positive emotions of people.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Keep your camera sensor clean to avoid dust spots.


Photography Equipment Requirements
Main Camera:
- Full-frame DSLR or mirrorless camera. Examples include:
- Canon EOS R, R6/7, 5D Mark III, 6D
- Nikon D800, D850, D750
- Sony A9, A7R, A7 series or equivalent/better
Backup Camera:
- Minimum requirement: Canon 60D, T3i, or equivalent/better.
Memory Cards:
- We recommend writing to two SD card slots simultaneously for backup.
- At least two high-speed SD cards (64GB or larger) are required.
Lighting:
- Two Canon 480EX or equivalent/better.
- Flash diffusers are also required.
Lenses:
- Wide-angle lens: Examples include 24-70mm, 16-35mm, etc.
- Prime portrait lens: Examples include 85mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.4, etc.
Accessories:
- Extra batteries
- Additional storage media
- Laptop or equivalent for backups and workflow
